I remember last year several retailers also made their better deals available through their websites the week of black friday.

Anyone remember how slick those deals were compared to what was found b&m? I think the difference would be greater for bigger ticket items so I'll ask for those specifically.

BB had almost all non door buster items for the same price online as the store.

CC had a few internet specials that were not in there paper flyer such as the Sony Bravia 40" LCD for 1199.00 used a 10% coupon to make it 1088.00

It was nice last year doing almost all of my BF buying from home

My best online deal from last year was the Olevia 332H LCD monitor/TV (no tuner) from Tigerdirect for $479.00+shipping (after rebate). Shipping only came out to about $20 (which was amazing for a 32" LCD) part of which I paid for by writing a review for PriceGrabber.com (It took some cajoling but I did manage to get them to cut me a check.) Not quite as cheap as some of those Microcenter deals but, then again, the only line I had to wait on was the DSL line.

Get it? Line? It's a joke.

CC and BB both had plenty of great deals online as well. I ordered the 232v Olevia 32" (with tuner) from CC for $474, which was actually cheaper than the in-store price.

Best Buy had a lot of stuff up on the site a couple hours before midnight. I bought a samsung 19" WS LCD and a cheapy pc speaker 2.1 set. My memory is terrible, but if I remember correct the lcd was $99 and the speakers were $9.99. Amazon had awesome deals, something like a new item every week at an amazing price but very limited quantity. I bought a 8" portable dvd player for like $30 I think. (maybe someone who has a better memory can tell you more lol)

CC had the deals up before midnight as well, but wouldn't let you order them until around 5 or 6 AM.

I remember the Amazon deals as well. On Thanksgiving day, they had a very limited quantity of 360s (core) for $99.

I'd much rather wait around all night online than brave the insane crowds at B&M stores on BF.

the only problem that happen last year with da 360 core was the website was so slow because of people buying them that by the time the webpage reloaded there was 0 left. wasted my entire night. wont make the same mistake twice .

Last year I ordered some stuff from CC online on thanksgiving.. sometime around 8am.. no big ticket doorbusters.. but I did get 4 1 gig san disk jump drives for 2.99, a 2 gig jump drive (around $12) 160 gig external HD $30, and DVD-RW/VCR for $120.
A ton of stuff was already sold-out on line when I got them.

What time could you buy them on-line? right after midnight?

What's the fun in buying online though? Part of the fun of BF is getting up early, getting a big cup of McD's coffee, and hanging out in line meeting new people and braving the cold. Last year I had a great time at EB Games getting my Wii on BF, met tons of cool people and actually got to bring my stuff home with me that morning.

Well, I'll be checking out online deals thanksgiving day and after I'm done shopping at the b&m stores. Yes CC does have non door buster deals online. If I want those, I would definately get them online.
