Seemed like a good idea when Kev and others organize the SD teams in different states, even got SD in the news. Will it be the same case this year?


care to explain for the noobs among us

Ok. Just as an example...

Assuming you so somewhere where the stores are very close by like a mall.

You want a $100 toshiba laptop from BB. Staples is a Samsung 20 inch LCD for $120. Circut City is selling a Panasonic Mini DV camcorder for $110. Walmart is selling 42 inch plasma tv for $200 and a dvd HD player for $30.

You want all four of them!! Only problem is, you cant be at all 4 places when the store opens! Thats when the SD BF stike team steps in.

You go to walmart and get your 42 inch plasma that you wanted, and pick up the dvd HD player at the same time there for someone else thats at another store. In return, the other person that was at staples gets your the Samsung 20 inch LCD for themselves, and the Panasonic Mini Dv camcorder that you wanted. Meet at a certain time in the area, make your trade of, pay whatever difference is owed.. Go home happy...

This is a very short example by the way! When Kev did it im sure it was more in detail.

I see him with his girlfriend or something on the line later and I'm kinda pissed cuz I saw that they raided a lot of stuff pretty clearly for resale (which is lame since so many people wanted those DVD box sets).

Anyways, later on I'm standing in line at Staples, and I'm talking to my friend, and I'm talking to my friend and I exclaim "Those goddamn asians at best buy!", to reference that particular group of asians who had been pillaging the DVD box sets. Yes. A good chance of that happening. But think of it this way, you could not be two places at once anyway so if the other person doesnt come through its all the same.

You can either:

a) just take the item back to the store and get your money back
b)sell the item on ebay for profit

Dont sweat it. This is just for early sign up. Im sure once a walmart/BB/CC ad leaks and if there are really blow out deals you will see signups in ten-fold.

That's not gonna happen to me, last year, we did our job keeping people out the line and take names and pictures during that night, just to make sure no suckers jam in. I think we did a good job on that. Others seems to help a lot too, so everybody happy when the store opened. Oh, there's a cop in front of door too, just too cool with that.

If you give people cash upfront that you know, you deserve to get jipped. Also, if your interested i have some magic beans for sale.

I guess the simple solution would be to ask the cashier to ring up the stuff seperately.

I used to work at the Best Buy in Waterford Lakes, and yes people start getting their the day before. Every year there is more and more people. Last year by the time the doors opened on BF the line was all the way down past LA Fitness and wrapped around the back.
